Ibiza Wellness Weekend brings together thousands of participants in Ibiza
After its third consecutive edition, the Ibiza Wellness Weekend is confirmed as an essential event for those seeking to enjoy wellness in all its versions. Once again this year, the island has hosted this solidarity event developed by great talents in the education of healthy habits, combining them with outdoor sports activities and tours of cultural spaces.
Between all the weekend's activities, half a thousand people attended in person and thousands attended online. A complete success. Ibiza has once again become the perfect wellness destination, both for numerous tourists visiting from different cities in Spain and for its inhabitants.
Activities for all
The highlight was the Big FUNfitt & Yoga Masterclass held in Dalt Vila on Saturday afternoon by the renowned youtuber Susana Yábar and Awa Yoga Ibiza with more than 120 participants and thousands more people following it from Susana's Youtube Channel, which has more than 5 million followers worldwide.
Among the personalities of public institutions and organizations that attended the inauguration were Mr. Ignacio Casas, Island Director of the Consell d'Eivissa, Alejandro Sancho, President of Fomento del Turismo de la Isla de Ibiza, Montse García, Councillor for Citizen Participation of the City Council of Ibiza, Abel García, promoter of the Club de Turismo de Salud y Bienestar Ibiza Health and Beauty, Erica Solís, from Baleària, and Lola Penín, from the Plataforma Sociosanitaria de las Pitiusas.
As it could not be otherwise in Ibiza, there was no shortage of good music. DJ Silvia Operé provided the rhythm to the Masterclass by Susana Yábar and Awa Yoga Ibiza, with the bastion of Santa Lucía at sunset as a backdrop. In addition, the session was also broadcast live to a large number of listeners on Ibiza Global Radio, with whom we work together in the healthy enjoyment of music.
On Sunday also, more than 100 registered participants enjoyed the Masterclasses on healthy habits, which took place at the iconic Hotel Rural Xereca.
Throughout the day on Sunday, health and body care professionals Raquel Training, Verónica Pródis and Estudio de danza Capricorn, motivational coach Rompiendo Barreras, visual artist Eliana Perinat, meditation and mindfulness expert Agustín Vidal and chef Óscar Molina, Michelin Star in Ibiza for his restaurant La Gaia, shared their creativity and wisdom through unique experiences and workshops. There was also live music.
The success of the event was also reflected in the sea and mountain activities, such as paddle, kayak, bikinig and trekking, hosted by the Las Salinas Natural Park on Saturday morning, as well as the inaugural visit on Friday to the Puig des Molins Museum, located in the historic centre of the city of Eivissa, which were also attended by around 80 people each.
Ibiza Wellness Weekend: wellness on the island
The total of the event raised over €1,200 for the Plataforma Sociosanitaria Pitiusa, dedicated to caring for and maintaining the health of many people. The whole experience could be enjoyed for a donation of €50. Attendees were also able to sign up for individual activities from 10 euros.
The Ibiza Wellness Weekend is an initiative of Fomento del Turismo de la Isla de Ibiza and its Club Ibiza Health & Beauty, with funding from the Consell d'Eivissa and the support of collaborators such as Ajuntament d'Eivissa, Baleària, Altafit Gym Club, Born Living Yoga, Hotel Xereca, Hotel Royal Plaza, the participating active tourism companies Anfibios and Ibiza Eco Activities and the local product club Eating in Ibiza.
