More than 150 people celebrate Global Wellness Day 2026 in Ibiza on a day dedicated to joy and well-being
The seventh edition of Global Wellness Day has once again turned Ibiza into an international benchmark for wellness. More than 150 people gathered at Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza to celebrate this world day that promotes healthy lifestyle habits and that takes place simultaneously in more than 30 countries.
Under the slogan #JoyMagenta, focused on joy as an essential part of well-being, participants of all ages enjoyed a full morning of activities designed to take care of body and mind, share experiences and connect with other people through movement and fun.
Zumba, yoga and outdoor activities to celebrate well-being
The day started with the contagious energy of Jessica Expósito, an international fitness benchmark and Zumba® Education Specialist, who made the attendees dance with the team of dancers from Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza.
Next, it was the turn of yoga with a very special proposal starring Elsa Yoga and DJ Cris44 (Yoga Flow Beat), who combined conscious movement and synchronized music in an immersive experience that captivated the audience.
As a great novelty of this edition, the active tourism area of Enjoy Ibiza Activities was very well received thanks to the collaboration of Decathlon Ibiza and Anfibios, offering activities such as kayaking, paddle surfing, beach volleyball, beach tennis, frisbee and aquatic experiences that allowed attendees to enjoy the Mediterranean environment in a healthy and fun way.
A great celebration supported by committed institutions and companies
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the organising and collaborating entities, including Abel García, representing Ibiza Health & Beauty and Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza; David Custoya, director of Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza; Biel Mayans, director of Decathlon Ibiza; and Delia de Miguel, from 360º Bienestar, producer of the event.
The celebration was also funded by the Consell d'Eivissa, as well as the support of regular collaborators such as Trasmapi, the technological partner OWQLO, Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza and Decathlon Ibiza, entities committed to making well-being accessible to the entire population through sport, health and sustainability.
During the morning, attendees were also able to enjoy a healthy breakfast courtesy of the hotel, reinforcing the importance of nutrition within a balanced lifestyle.
Ibiza reaffirms its commitment to well-being
Global Wellness Day was born with the mission of reminding us that well-being is a universal right and not a luxury reserved for a few. As its founder, Belgin Aksoy, points out, living well begins with small daily decisions that take care of our body, mind and soul.
Once again, Ibiza has demonstrated its ability to lead initiatives that promote healthy habits, connection between people and conscious enjoyment of the environment, consolidating itself as one of the most important wellness destinations in the Mediterranean.
Ibiza Yoga Week 2026 is already underway
After the success of the Global Wellness Day, the island's wellness programme continues with a new edition of Ibiza Yoga Week 2026, which will be held from 17 to 21 June, touring the five municipalities of Ibiza with unique experiences of yoga, meditation, active tourism and connection with nature.
